Hello Friends of Parlando,
We love to brag about our students every chance we get. Here are some noteworthy accomplishments by some of our students from the end of summer/beginning of school...Including having three of only 10 flute students in the Colorado Music Festival's Finale of John Corigliano's "The Pied Piper Fantasy!"
- Eden Ainscough (student of Parlando Faculty Member Carol Codrescu) Eden was one of only ten flute students to perform in the Colorado Music Festival's Finale of John Corigliano's "The Pied Piper Fantasy," with special guest flutist Alexa Still. Earlier this year, Eden placed 2nd in the Parlando Student Merit Scholarship competition, 2nd in the Parlando Young Artist Concerto Competition, was named a member of the Jefferson County Public Schools All-County Elementary Honor Band as a 5th grader (typically reserved for 6th grade students), was the sole fifer in "You Can Live History's" 400 student re-enactment of the Battle of Saratoga and competed in the Colorado Flute Association Student Solo Competition. She also had a great academic year, culminating in an award of Highest Honors in the CBK Western Academic Talent Search.
- Charlie Fischer (student of Parlando Faculty Member Malia Van Rooy) Charlie was one of only ten flute students to perform in the Colorado Music Festival's Finale of John Corigliano's "The Pied Piper Fantasy," with special guest flutist Alexa Still.
