Hello Friends of Parlando,
The fall semester is upon us. Lessons begin the week of 8/18 with most classes beginning either the week of 8/18 or 8/25 (please check your registration receipt and/or our website for specific dates). If you have not already done so, please connect with your instructor(s) to confirm your fall lesson day/time. Please also register on our website or through me PRIOR to your student's first class or lesson.
We have one class starting early; our Music for Little Ones class begins on Thursday, 8/15:
Digital Keyboard for Sale
Korg SP-200 Digital Piano with bench, pedal and stand valued at $900. This digital piano is full size with weighted keys. It does NOT have a built in speaker, so it would have to be plugged into an amplifier, a portable speaker system or used with headphones. We would like to sell it for $300 or best offer. If you are interested, please contact me directly.
Parlando and the Nutcracker
Parlando has been approached by the Boulder Phil to see if we would like to provide the children's choir for their annual production of the Nutcracker. Please take a look at the schedule below, and if you would like to commit to doing this, please let me know right away. NOTE that you do not have to commit to every show, as long as you can make it to all of the rehearsals and at least 2 of the shows:
- Students would be given music ahead of time to learn
- Rehearsals (mandatory):
- Tuesday 11/26: 7-8pm
- Wednesday 11/27: 7-8pm
- Performances (must attend at least 2 of 4):
- Friday 11/29: 4pm Performance (can leave at 5pm OR sit with family/friend in audience for 2nd half)
- Saturday 11/30: 2pm Performance (can leave at 3pm OR sit with family/friend in audience for 2nd half)
- Saturday 11/30: 7pm Performance (can leave at 8pm OR sit with family/friend in audience for 2nd half)
- Sunday 12/1: 2pm Performance (can leave at 3pm OR sit with family/friend in audience for 2nd half)
- The singing part only lasts approx. 10 minutes and occurs 45 minutes into the first act.
- Additional Details:
- Age range is 3rd-12th grade (should be in voice lessons OR can EASILY match pitch)
- There is no fee to participate
