Greetings!
Tomorrow, July 16, is the New York City kick-off for Fr. Helmut
Schüller's 15 city Catholic Tipping Point U.S. tour.
Red ribbons symbolizing the spirit of Pentecost and calling for inclusion of the laity at every level of leadership and decision-making in the Church will be worn by parishioners and then collected by tour organizers in every city.
If you can't attend in person, please send a virtual red ribbon here.
At the end of the tour the Catholic Tipping Point coalition will present both physical and virtual red ribbons to Cardinal Timothy Dolan, President of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Austrian and German media are covering our advocacy for the People of God in depth. Fr. Schüller will be blogging (in German) about the tour here.
After the Boston Archdiocese barred Fr. Schüller from Church property, Philadelphia church officials tried to do the same. But Chestnut Hill College stood firm. If you would like to write a short note to thank the President of the College, here is her address:
Carol Jean Vale, SSJ President
Chestnut Hill College
9601 Germantown Avenue
Philadelphia, PA, 19118
Please keep Fr. Schüller and so many fantastic local and national sponsors in your prayers.
Gratefully,
Christine Schenk CSJ Executive Director
PS Fr. Schuller's presentation is being digitally videotaped midway through his visit. We will make it available online for those unable to attend.
