Daily Words From Dad

"Good morning! There's nothing like arising up from a good nights rest and being excited about your new day. It would amaze you at how many rarely do. Yet, life is meant to be an exciting adventure that a person can't wait to get out of bed to get started on their journey.

But once again, sadly few people really approach it this way. Unless they get everything to fall perfectly in line to the way they want it, all they do is just waste their moments stuck in a disappointment they refuse to leave. Nobody gets everything they want, that's a delusional and unrealistic perspective.

Someone has said, people change when they see the light, while others will only change when they feel the heat. The worst part of this is to witness so many experiencing the heat and yet remain unwilling to change their life.

There is no hope for a person who refuses to change when life is giving its many hints that their life is going nowhere by the choices they continue to make. It's true that not everything that is faced in life can be changed, but rest assured that nothing can be changed at all until you are willing to face it.

If you don't, you will approach life with a "WHATS THE USE" mentality, and sound as pitiful as wise old Solomon did when he wrote the words below as he lost focus of what is really important, a relationship with God. Being wise through observation is not nearly as effective as being wise in your living." ~Dad~

Smoke, nothing but smoke. There’s nothing to anything—it’s all smoke. What’s there to show for a lifetime of work, a lifetime of working your fingers to the bone? One generation goes its way, the next one arrives, but nothing changes—it’s business as usual for old planet earth. The sun comes up and the sun goes down, then does it again, and again—the same old round. The wind blows south, the wind blows north. Around and around and around it blows, blowing this way, then that—the whirling, erratic wind. All the rivers flow into the sea, but the sea never fills up. The rivers keep flowing to the same old place, and then start all over and do it again. Everything’s boring, utterly boring— no one can find any meaning in it. Boring to the eye, boring to the ear. What was will be again, what happened will happen again. There’s nothing new on this earth. Year after year it’s the same old thing. Does someone call out, “Hey, this is new”? Don’t get excited—it’s the same old story. Nobody remembers what happened yesterday. And the things that will happen tomorrow? Nobody will remember them either. Don’t count on being remembered. (Ecclesiastes 1:2-11 MSG)
