"Good morning! I do pray that your eyes are wide open to see what God can do, no matter what you are faced with. His abilities are nothing like those of limited human beings. He is God! When you look at the world around you and all of its instabilities, do you sometimes think God has lost control of things?
Maybe you do this because of some difficulty that you are faced with in life, or someone you may know that is walking through the valley of the shadow of death. Either case, God is all-powerful! He is able to do anything that He desires. This is because He is God.
We often don't like how God lets some things play out in life. We feel this way because we have learned that God is a good God, and for Him to allow bad things to happen to people it's easy to conclude God can't do everything. And there are many people who approach God as impotent when it comes to miracles.
Why is this? It's because too many times people start from a tragedy in their life, and then trace back to God within it, and thereby, conclude He is not always faithful or why would He allow this to happen to me? You can't make sense about God when you look at Him only after something bad has happened.
We must know Him relationally and intimately before the cancer; the bankruptcy; the broken marriage; the wayward child, or some other sudden tragedy that strikes our life. It's difficult if not impossible, to wait until something goes wrong before we look to God and then have confidence in Him within it as being able to turn it around.
We ought to get well acquainted with our Heavenly Father who has chosen us, and learn of His faithfulness within this troubled world which we are living. If we do this, should something suddenly happen that we would rather it didn't, it is here that we will have all confidence that God is with us, and He will see us through it in His strength. God is able!" ~Dad~
Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.” (Matthew 19:26 NLT) |
