Daily Words From Dad

"Good morning! Arise and let's take some time together to learn the most appropriate way to be like Jesus. Our born again experience is more than a membership in some religious club that promotes that I can be better than you and I can do more good works than you. This divine family is not a competitive sport where you are attempting to make everything about you so you can feel good about you.

God's family is a family of selfless service to others, where everything is about helping someone else even at the expense of us. This serving of others is not for show that you will be liked or made popular so you can feel important about who you are. It's not about the recognition when you walk in the room or basking in the kind words and praise that people offer when they have been helped by you. If these are the things that motivate you to serve, you have terribly missed what it means to be a child of God.

If you will recall, Jesus said of Himself, I didn't come to be served, but rather to serve others. This is the correct attribute of a family member in God's house. When we are developing in selfless service towards helping others for their benefit and nothing more, we are getting it right. That is real love.

In the age of majoring in massive church productions, marketing techniques like the world in order to grow the church or personal ministry, we have thus sacrificed the importance of building lives in favor of having worldly success corporately. This is done as individuals in God's family as well. Serve to help others and not yourself and you will have become like your Lord!" ~Dad~

And Jesus’ brothers said to him, “Leave here and go to Judea, where your followers can see your miracles! You can’t become FAMOUS if you hide like this! If you can do such wonderful things, SHOW yourself to the world!” For even his brothers didn’t believe in him. Jesus replied, “Now is not the right time for me to go, but you can go anytime. The world can’t hate you, but it does hate me because I accuse it of doing evil. (John 7:3-7 NLT)
