"Good morning! What will you pursue today in hopes of finding real joy? I realize in any given day we may be required to do some things that are not necessarily joy builders in and of themselves. For instance many get up each morning and head off to a job they simply just endure because it pays their bills.
We have all witnessed these folks who approach their job in this manner. They are grumpy, uncooperative, complainers, and always attempting to do the least amount of work they can possibly get away with. Why is this? Because they see no joy in what has to be done at that moment.
Too many times joy is seen as something futuristic out ahead of us and in anything else except where we are right this moment. In other words, joy is always something being pursued outside of the business at hand; but often it is rarely captured with this approach.
The price of chasing joy in something that's beyond where you are right now, is to miss having joy in the thing or place you are currently doing or at. It is here that most make the worst decisions that they end up regretting. Joy is never something beyond where we are, but rather, joy is within you and exudes from anything you do or any place you are at.
Only the children of God can experience this kind of joy in everything and in all places of life. Why? Because of eternal life that resides within them. To have the life Giver living in us, is to be infused with divine joy that forever makes all of life enjoyable no matter what it throws at you. Joy is the power to really live in every stage of life." ~Dad~
