Daily Words From Dad

"Good morning! Did you know there must be agreement between you and God before you can receive any of His promises? Its the only way two can walk together. That agreement is not so much in your multitude of words either, as much as it is in your actions. Talk does not nearly convince anyone as much as the doing of something will.

Philosophers, glorified pep-rallies, cheerleaders, and even teachers that don't follow their own advice stand afar off talking a good game plan but never want to suit up and play in it. The doing will always be the proof of what someone really believes. All other forms of communicating it are just empty talk.

God is looking for those who will roll up their sleeves and ready themselves for the work at hand, not just sit around and discuss it. Movers and shakers put things into motion because they believe strongly in what they are doing. Whereas, the slothful and lazy person just exhale worthless air-talk of one day what they are going to do.

I was traveling up through the northern part of Arkansas last week and saw a remarkable sight. It was an old white church with its name hand painted sloppily on the side of the building in black runny letters. It read, "Loafers Glory Church." I thought to myself there must be a whole denomination of loafer churches out in the world where its members have no passion to do anything, but just talk about what they don't like about someone else, the pastor, or their church.

God is ready to pour mightily into our lives. But when everything just remains hot air with no intentions to act on what we say, nothing good can ever come out of it. It's just empty words with no conviction to move anyone into action. I do pray that you will understand this, and thereby, align your talk with real action. When we do this, there will be plenty of life and great blessing in everything we do." ~Dad~
