"Good morning! The flowers are showing off today, the birds are singing their unique songs, the bees are showing off their skill of landing and taking off in an acrobatic style. The ants are in file showing off their strength as they lift their food ten times their weight and the wisdom to work all summer long before the cold sets in.
Everything that God has created is designed to show off that design magnificently. The showing off is never a personal gloating as a reason to do this. It is rather to express the glory of our Creator and all His goodness. Your life is meant to be showed off, but not as a personal glory that corrupts the soul.
Man's abilities are due to his likeness and image to God, not his own creation. We are in a world where image is everything. So man is always attempting to show off, and if others worship his new design of himself, that man will then gloat with pride, Ain't I something!
The thing is, this kind of showing off pollutes the real design that ought to glorify the Master designer. But instead, these highjack what God made and then use it to glorify himself. In other words, what was meant to be a blessing to all of creation has now become selfishly perverted. And so goes the song, It's all about me, I want to talk about me!
Every life that handles itself outside of the boundaries and design of God for His own personal glory, is a thief, a violator of someone else's work. And since God is the Master builder, it is therefore God's work that has been stolen. This design is then become altered from what it was intended to show off in honor to God.
Look around in the world and see all the selfishness in the making; lives totally out of control and showing off a disgusting exhibit of workmanship crafted out of their own evil ideas. Show offs! But far from how their life should be expressed in honor of God who never made this mess that man has now become.
The book of life has your name written in it if you have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. If this is true, then in that same book of life is the instructions to identifying who you are in completeness. This book of life is not in heaven, it's that Bible on your table or in that drawer.
The Word and Christ are the same and if you apply it to your life, you will become how you were originally designed to be. It is here that all your showing off will glorify the Master Designer.
