"Good morning! Giving thanks to The Lord is how we should begin each day. It puts Christ in His proper role within our life, and it releases His promises which are yes and Amen over our lives as well. Putting God first in our lives will always bring His favor by deepening His love for us within our hearts, rather than just in our head.
It is assumed that our brain does all of our thinking. However, neurotransmitters are released from three different places in the body. 1. The heart. 2. The brain. 3. The intestines.
Researchers were baffled when they discovered that the heart begins its incredible functions before the brain is developed in the womb. Recent discoveries have revealed that the heart contains cells that make and release a large number of neurotransmitters, which were previously thought to be produced only in the brain.
This discovery further affirms that the heart has its own "brain," which communicates with the brain through our nervous system, hormonal system, and other pathways. This is no doubt why when the heart is heavy and troubled it makes the whole body sick, whereas a glad heart is like good medicine.
It is by the belief system of the heart that we think, speak, and act. You will never control the words of your mouth with your brain, because "out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." Again the Bible confirms this, "Those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies."
We can now understand why the Bible refers to the heart when it comes to our thought life. Our belief system is not in our brains, but rather in our hearts. Our hearts hold the passion and emotions to what we believe, and thus send those messages to our brain through neurotransmitters that travel through our nervous system and alert us into action.
This is why when the brain learns information it can be easily forgotten or simply unused, this is because that info has no passion in you to add to your belief system of the heart to where action springs forth. It is also the reason why we can have information in our head, but unable to live from it with any consistency.
It's because it's not in our hearts, only in our brain. Learn to write God's Word on your heart and it is here that you will live from it with passion. On the contrary, write things only to the memory of your brain without affecting your heart with it, and it will never be lived outwardly with any success. Everything in our lives evolves out of the heart." ~Dad~ |
