"Good morning! Looks like this is going to be a great day to do something BIG for the kingdom of God. You should seek His direction and pay careful attention to hear how He wants you to go about it. Following His lead is of the upmost important thing we can ever do in life. Many have found themselves in less desirable places in life because they rarely seek the will of God to know how it should all go. I hope you will always remember the importance of beginning the day with engaging God conversations.
God talk is cheap if it only happens when you get around to it on certain days that we call church time, but then live the greater number of days of the week silent from any conversation with Him at all. This is when the relationship has become a ritual without any true significance to it accept on the days you feel like talking to Him. I promise you, God wants to hang out with you every day. Don't compartmentalize yourself by becoming fragmented between having a work life, a home life, a social life, and then the left-overs of life are given to God.
God deserves our first fruits in everything and this should include our time and where it's spent. So many people today will tell you they believe in God, but this distance they put between themselves and God leaves no real evidence that they are close friends with Him. He is more like an acquaintance that is periodically seen in the passing on the street where they acknowledge Him with a wave of the hand or a nod of the head. If He is a friend, He has become a very isolated friend by their choosing, and He is only conversed with when there is nobody else around or nothing else to do.
How any person can ignore their Creator is an atrocity of the worst kind. Why? Because He has given so much to be with us, and yet so many don't see this enormous desire of His to be with us as they go running off into their day. I hope you will always keep God in your hearts eye and always enjoy having your daily conversations with Him. It's His favorite part of any given day, that of course, is to be with you and talk about everything." ~Dad~ |
