Daily Words From Dad

"Good morning! Did you know that you are unique and a one-of-kind? There will never be another person like you, therefore be you in Christ without apology. But I will say this, just make sure you are being you. This has become a real problem today, that of course is people being who they were created to be. It seems the ORIGINAL is rarely seen anymore because everyone has become a reflection of someone else.

We have Hollywood celebrities, music dynamo's, peer pressures to be like the popular folks, and such influencers we keep around us who have become the shapers of our lives;  so much so, that many have lost their identity as an original. We have become copies of someone else at the expense of who we were created to be.

God did not intend for you and me to be a copy of someone else. Yes, we are to be like Christ, but that Christlikeness is to be born of His divine nature and His virtues, but not His personality. You are wonderfully and fearfully made as a unique person that God longs to call His son or daughter. He is not wanting us to lose our uniqueness, but discover it in righteousness.

Our sinful nature is only a copy of the fallen son whom we have learned to reflect at the expense of losing who we are really meant to be. Christ came to show us how to get back to being a righteous son or daughter of God by clearing the way for us to find it. This does not mean losing your unique personality. Jesus never told Peter to quit being Simon, but rather, be the real Peter that God loves instead of the poser Simon had become.

Saul of Tarsus was a poser acting as an agent of evil though he was uniquely created for a divine purpose. Therefore, he was renamed as Paul who was the real son that God loved though at one point before his conversion he had lost his uniqueness because of the fallen son's (the devil's) influence over his life. To be like Christ is not to lose who you are, otherwise, God could only fellowship with Himself if we were all like Him.

God wants to have fellowship with you and me, but obviously without the contamination of this fallen world with all of its evil influences. Jesus coming to the earth was to show us how to do this and find who we really are once He freed us from the old nature. We are mistaken when our theology assumes that to be Christlike is to completely lose who we are as individuals. Even in marriage a man and woman become as one, but they still have their uniqueness.

Certainly if you are living under the fallen son (the devil's) influences, this must change, but that change is in the virtues that you once exhibited of the false you and awaken to the unique person you are that God the Father calls His very own son or daughter. Where are all of the ORIGINALS out there?

Don't remain a copy of this world or someone you're not, don't try to be a little Jesus, but become that one-of-a-kind person that God loves immensely by loving the very things that Jesus loved and your uniqueness will honor both Christ and what He did for us and glorify our Father who sent Him to reconnect us to our true sonship." ~Dad~
