"Good morning! As you arise and step outside you can hear all of nature singing its praise to the giver of life. If you haven't become blind because of familiarity, you can see the beauty in all of creation, and oh how radiant it is! Today I want to discuss beauty because there is so much of it around us, but so few who actually know how to recognize it. The reason I say this is because the ugliness of sin in the world contaminates good vision. In other words, the world makes fun of a little girl because she doesn't meet the worlds standard for beauty, and therefore she is scarred for life by all the hurtful words written on her heart by someone trying to make themselves more attractive. And then there is the boy whose athletic abilities is far short of the other talented boys who grew up in constant fear of their torments and ridicule. SCARRED within, and silently he lives with it.
Beauty is often lost from sight especially when someone is different from the group that we hang out with; these people hold different views from our own, they are a different color, they are not at our financial status, they fall short of our educational background, etc. And it is here that we classify one person to be less from ourselves, or from our selected friends. There is no telling the volume of people all around us who walk throughout life holding on to a false image of themselves because of some hurtful words or ill treatment they received from someone who has no clue at what beauty looks like. This world through its marketing of products and promotion of celebrity models has set a standard that if you don't meet it's requirements of what beauty is, then you are ostracized and made fun of. Oh! ...the pain that so many are walking around living constantly with, just because someone said what beauty is and they didn't qualify.
Someone has said: There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly. It holds a surprise if you would only give it a chance to arrive to its intended purpose without judging before its time. Most people discern beauty through their own immediate observation, and if it does not meet their perceived standard then it s deemed flawed, weak, broken, marred, contaminated, etc. In other words, for these who make such judgments, beauty can only be seen "in" themselves as they see it; and if its not there, then that person becomes ruthless in destroying the person who doesn't measure up to his standard of what beauty is. I have found that anyone deemed to be ugly in this world is always created by those who strive to make themselves beautiful, and all that beauty they attempt to cast within the eyes of their wishful admirers becomes repulsive for the ugliness of their own judgmental heart that overshadows what real beauty is. Beauty is never seen so much in the face or body as it can be seen in the heart. This world doesn't care about the heart though, it's perspective of beauty is always at the shallowest point of all, the surface." ~Dad~
