"Good morning! The day has dawned and all of God's creation has awaken to begin the day. How about you, are you ready to get this day started? That word 'START' is an important description of an action that we must do for anything to have results. But even this doesn't promise the prize, because even if you start but don't finish, there will still be no results. Therefore, important as starting is, finishing is better if one is to be rewarded.
Today we are witnessing laziness as becoming the preferred vocation of the masses. It seems with all of our great technology we have distant ourselves from creativity of doing something productive with life. Now it's all about being comfortable and doing as little as possible, all the while while technology keeps advancing more ways for people to do this.
Life is constantly broadcasting daily news of suicide, diseases, poverty, etc.all because people have nothing to do with their life. Nothing is ever started, therefore there is nothing to finish. No wonder there is so much restlessness and boredom among the people today. No wonder people are living with such aimless lives with no where to go.
I believe this is the greater reason why we are seeing the rise of crime in our cities, suicide, sexual perversions, corruption, and astronomical new ways for mankind to sin against God and his fellow man. He has become a person with no meaning for his life, just existing. When this happens, he becomes bored and thereby goes about in a reckless manner trying to find a way to fill up his restlessness, howbeit, with bad choices.
Man was created as we have said before many times in our other writings, to live according to a purpose that is good and with divine intention. If you remove this, then man is left to inventing new ways to sin against his purpose. There is so much lethargy among us, that if one, though they are rare to find, who are extremely motivated to set positive things into motion within life, he is deemed an outdated fool.
The thing that I have learned is that meaning and purpose of life that has important work to do is to find the person who is doing it: will be happier, peaceful, prosperous with contentment, healthier, fruitful and certainly a person to be admired. Seeing something started with good intentions has become a common thing watch, but witnessing those very same things being finished has become something rarely seen by this generation.
People are too busy playing video games, bar hopping, searching the Internet, watching TV, over eating, drinking, chasing the opposite sex or even the same, partaking of their drug of choice whether legal or illegal, etc. They are simply moving around in life with busyness but never going anywhere.
Surely I think I have landed upon a serious problem that is plaguing our nation. What is that you ask? People who start something but never finish because it had no real purpose to begin with; or they started something that has meaning, but they became undisciplined because it was taking to long to finish.
I hope you will turn off the gadgets, the iPhones, the computers, the video games and discover something that you can start and finish that will bring joy to yourself and bless someone else. We were created to live with a purposeful meaning, anything less is boredom gone to seed." ~Dad~ |
