"Good morning! Happy are those who awaken without regrets. Life is meant to be lived in this manner. We should savor every moment through the eyes of gratitude. As someone has said, if you've enjoyed a little and endured a lot, you've really done pretty well. Life is not without a few stretches along the way, and it certainly has its many challenges that attempt to steal away our joy. Ken Keyes said, I always remember that I have everything I need to enjoy my here and now, unless I am letting my consciousness be dominated by demands and expectations based on the dead past or the imagined future.
This rear view mirror living, can really cripple your forward progress if you have cataloged more tough times than good ones. We should always work on developing gratitude for the good things that happen along the way in life. A person can double their length of existence, if they have lived so as to look back with pleasure on their past and found it to be filled with more great moments than bad ones, this is to live twice. The person who does this, has unlocked the key to real living, they've learned to enjoy their journey each day up to this very moment. This approach is imperative if you want to experience life at its best.
Inner work is finding joy in what you do every day. But take note, that our real work is heart work that establishes itself on the meaning and purpose of ones life, and then the soul work that develops the use of sound thinking. Both of these areas must be developed where we can be shaped for living appropriately to God's intentions. When we do this, there will be a whole new perspective produced within us that will facilitate a favorable outlook on life. Excellent vision is to be able to see without any blurriness, whereas, blurred vision that has been caused by your struggles is because of too much emphasis on these moments of difficulty.
Too many fail to see the importance of getting corrected vision and therefore, life for them becomes bitter. We should not ever live in denial to our struggles, but I do believe if one will focus on the meaningful parts more, they will arise in their spirit and enjoy the journey despite any setbacks. Life should be lived grandiosely without making a mountain out of something that is actually small in comparison to the many opportunities you have had in life. My prayers for you is that you will come to see your blessings much more than your disappointments. It will take you farther down the road and when you get there, you will conclude it was a good run." ~Dad~ |
