"Good morning! Early in the day seems to hold the best time for creativity. I suspect its because we have not bogged ourselves down with all the things that can mount up throughout the day. Therefore, use the early morning hours to envision possibilities other than your usual routines that you will soon get back to; but be sure to write them down so you can get about fulfilling them at some later date when you're ready to break routine.
Creativity is in us all, however, some show it more than others do. The reason some reveal such creativity more than others is because they practice it inwardly and work it outwardly because they believe in what they have dreamed as being possible. Those who seem to be non-endowed with such creative abilities is solely because they are afraid to step out into the unknowns of their dreams for fear of failure. They care more about what others think about them then the thrill of creating something.
Someone said, one measure of how creative you are is how you respond to changes in your circumstances and environment. How flexible are you? Consider how water adapts to its environment: there is evaporation, condensation, snowflakes, melting, flowing, it maneuvers around rocks, fills containers, etc. As you can see, creativity, just like water, has the vision to adjust to its surroundings without ever losing what it is so it can produce something special and unique like no other. Out of nothing can come something when you believe it's there, and nothing that is believed as being there, can become nothing.
I hope you will spend more time reaching deep inside, in order to envision doing something more purposeful than just the day to day routines of life. Your sense of boredom within any given moment is simply because you are failing to see the important work of creating something new that gives meaning to your life. God has put this in our DNA and to neglect it, is to randomly and aimlessly wander through life living by someone else's dreams. My question to you is, Are you enjoying living by another person's goals, dreams, tending to their prosperous creation, and living by their rules? Creativity is in you, but getting it out takes courage to believe its there." ~Dad~ |
