This business of living in its original design was meant to flourish in every good thing. Yet, this world has been spun out of control because of evil. The Bible teaches that we are to overcome evil with good, not return the same evil favor to those tossing evil all around..
You are a child of God and with that Name that made it so, you are called to come out of dark living and into the marvelous Light! We have access to every promise that the Bible speaks of; but we have to show up to work at the family business to receive them. What I mean by this, is the benefits are accessible to the faithful who place their trust in God's provision and that don't doubt or disbelieve that it's theirs and head out to the harvest field.
The family business is to live your life in such a way that anyone watching that is not a part of the divine family of God will want to become a family member. Therefore, its important how you live, and the Word of God is the instruction manual that Christ taught how its to be done. We can't keep going the opposite direction of the path of righteousness and expect our opportunities to be good ones.
There are many family members who leave off from that righteous path in day to day living that it discourages the worlds orphans from ever desiring to be a part of such a glorious family because of these representing God's kingdom in such a disdaining manner. Who really wants to exchange a life of misery for a life that some child of God says is the best life when that believer is living in similar miseries of this world? I think they will undoubtedly keep their own misery, at least they are familiar with it.
So, its important how you live as a member of God's family. Don't get caught up in all those trumpeting loudly today, its all about my freedom. These generally don't handle freedom responsibly anyway, especially when they spend all their time arguing for it; but I suspect the freedom they speak of is a way to justify their dark ways of living. Don't believe me. Then watch their use of this freedom and you will see that freedom on our terms rather than on God's, is a sure recipe for disaster, and time will prove it." ~Dad~
Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone. (Colossians 4:5, 6 NLT) |
