Daily Words From Dad

"Good morning! C'mon let's get up and have our time together. You are so important to me that I can hardly sleep through the night for excitement to share something with you that will add quality to your life.

Youthfulness has the benefits of energy and dreams galore. But I have learned also that youthfulness does something else that doesn't work so well for you in the end, that of course, is running past the things most important that you will need tomorrow by wasting those opportunities in order to play today.

There is much playfulness within youthfulness to which is not in every sense bad, fun is ok, but many times it holds the idea that I have plenty of time so I will just chill right here and do nothing with my life. When you do this, you will eventually wake up one day and that plenty of time you thought you had, will be gone.

Don't think for a moment that this information lends no help for you if you have now gotten a little older yourself. I have witness many older folks trying to live as if they were still in their 20's. It's a very strange thing to observe in a person who should be mature and established.

Mid-life crisis for the older ones , is an odd thing to watch, they dress like the kids, act up and become irresponsible and in some cases leaving home for someone much younger as if that will slow down their aging. They are only throwing away their life. Foolishness gone to seed! Don't lose sight of what's important." ~Dad~

Here's what God's Word has to say about this:

Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore.”

Remember him before the light of the sun, moon, and stars is dim to your old eyes, and rain clouds continually darken your sky.

Remember him before the door to life’s opportunities is closed and the sound of work fades. Now you rise at the first chirping of the birds, but then all their sounds will grow faint.

That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty. (Ecclesiastes 12:1, 2, 4, 13 NLT)
