Daily Words From Dad

"Good morning! All of creation is in perfect cooperation this morning to how it was created by God except of course, man. He still generally does his own thing and calls it, progress or independence. However, we should take note that there is no such thing as a self-made person. You will reach your achievements in life only with the help of others. Think about it: if a musician played skillfully upon a piano what good would it be if there was no one to enjoy listening to it, it would be alone. There would be no cooperation from others to see its need or purpose, thus it would lose its appeal to the one who had the gift. We could also mention, what good would be the musical talent, if not for the craftsman who invented and constructed the piano for playing by the gifted?

We all have received God abilities that are meant to serve others, not just solely ourself.
We are not put on this earth to see through one another's faults and short-comings, but to see one another through them. This means helping each other where that other person is lacking in what we possess, and knowing that they will use their special qualities to help me where I am lacking. This is called cooperation. It's a community working for the good of all. It's a nation contributing to one another so that all of its citizen's have opportunity for success, and thereby, everyone respects and offers their own gift to each other selflessly, rather than withholding it for selfishness. Spencer W. Kimball makes a correct point, God does notice us, and He watches over us. But it is usually through another person that He meets our needs.

If you want to be incrementally better: Then be competitive. If you want to be exponentially better: Be cooperative. An absence of cooperation is why spouses separate or divorce. When cooperation is absent from anything, the results are loneliness, stress, pain, and terrible loss. A lack of cooperation is due to our assessment that someone else is not worthy of our help or gift, or we just don't have the time. We restrain from serving someone when we have lost sight of why we have what God has given us. We are equipped to serve, but sinfulness has blinded the eyes where we don't see it's value, but instead trust self-preservation. So, instead of cooperating with why we 'have' something, we cooperate with the spirit of 'I might lose it' if I share it. It is here, that we become stingy and self-serving.

This becomes a world of people staring at someone else's struggle with gift in hand, but unwilling to use it through cooperation with God's intended design to help them. Let me ask you something, how will you fair when your short-coming or lack shows up, and the gifted person just stares at you with gift in hand, but selfishly walks away? Cooperation is the need we have of one another. This is God's perfect design. Everything is meant to contribute to others, so that everyone will give tribute to God for His goodness, and to you for cooperating with what you have received from God to lend the necessary help for the one who needs it. Let us be more cooperating in everything. It honors God and makes the world a kinder place to live in." ~Dad~
