"Good morning! This is your God given day and its waiting to see just how you and all the other inhabitants will choose to live it. Will it be with honor and integrity, or with dishonor and fraud? Don't think that just because we are all Christians here that this topic doesn't apply to us. I have witnessed more fraudulent activities that brought dishonor in those you would think were above such actions; but truth is, we all have to watch our heart carefully for the issues of life flow from it. Learn to place great importance on developing a heart of integrity as your number one ambition, it will bring you great honor if you do. Our own heart, and not other men's opinion, forms our truest honor. In other words, you must be willing to fail at something with honor rather than to succeed through some fraudulent action to accomplish it.
We are in a world that most people are losing sight of what integrity is within everything they are a part of, and yet, still demanding they be honored as if they had done something great when they have actually done nothing to receive the respect. A person has honor if they will hold them self to a conduct of courage to always do what is right though it is inconvenient, unprofitable, or even places them in a dangerous predicament in order to stay true to the integrity of their heart. In a world full of lawlessness, we need to release a culture of honor in whatever we are a part of, whether in words or in our deeds. Honor isn't about making the right choices either, because everyone does that, some good and some bad. It's more about how we deal with the consequences of our choices. Will you make excuses, blame someone else, or own it?
It's never the reward that should matter, or even the recognition you might receive for doing what is right that should count as the reason you do it. It is your strong commitment to do what's right no matter what, because its who you are to the core; it is seen in your quality of service though no one may be watching to fuel it with praise, that's not why you do it; and the extremes of your devotion to follow through with what's right when others will essentially quit on it, defines the person you really are, FAITHFUL; these are the qualities that are most valuable in a life and bring the greatest honor. Why cheapen your life to get what you don't deserve, only to have someone discover the truth later on and then tell it to the whole world? Can you live with the embarrassment of that? Even if you find a way to be honored by others in something you did through a fraudulent activity, you will still know the truth; can you live with yourself knowing you are a fraud?
When you give of yourself through the integrity of living by the truth that you strongly believe in and strap it on as your belt that holds up the entire person you are wearing for all to see, the honor for you will come through that willingness to give of yourself to others, and that will be honor enough. And the world will look on with amazement at you and wonder at the rare display of divine character that you display like no other they have ever seen. The results: a person that is admired and who holds honor in the eyes of anyone fortunate enough to have met them. Be this kind of person, there is such a shortage of them." ~Dad~ |
