I hope so, because very little ever waits for you in life. But keep in mind that not everything is worth chasing after either.
Opportunities fill each day; some apparent, and some not so noticeable. The thing about opportunities is there are opportunities for success and for failure. The most amazing thing to me is how often people select the opportunities to fail in life. It's amazing, because everyone wants success but choose the things that produce ongoing failure.
I have discovered that success is connected to things like discipline, effort, commitment, and plain hard work. Whereas, failure finds its opportunities in laziness, complaining, blaming others, and things like that. These are opportunities hidden in your decisions.
In other words, you live by the opportunities afforded to you, good and bad and both kinds will be present; the fact is, the road to good opportunities will never lead you to failure. It can't! So, if failure is what you have before you, then you decided on a path of lesser opportunities. This does not mean you are a failure, you just selected a road that leads there. If you have done this, stop right where you are and look around you, there are good opportunities within reach." ~Dad~ |
