"Good morning! I am grateful for God's mercies and goodness over our lives. One of the greatest gifts in my life was the day God placed you in mine. You are a gift unmeasurable in value. Your like no other or ever will be. While I have nothing to do with your purpose that God designed within you, I do have the responsibility and privilege of encouraging and pulling it out of you at every opportunity that I may have in your life. The joy for me is watching you be the person you were always meant to be. Yes, this brings me great joy that cannot be expressed with words, I won't even try. Now! On to some important thoughts to fuel your journey.
Many times we are pulled into something hurtful to reaching our daily goals because of the strong impressions that our emotions produce in us. Of course, emotions don't have intellect in and of themselves, they just embrace the things we think on, and thereby, validate their legitimacy to us. This emotional sense is nothing more than truth serum to our selected thinking. In other words, whatever you think upon is what you will believe is the truth because of how it makes you feel. However, it doesn't mean that what you are feeling, or was that thinking, is the truth.
There is one thing you have absolute control of and that is your own thoughts. It is this mental exercise that puts you in a position to control your own destiny, or blow it up. When we direct our thoughts properly on the right things, we undeniably steer our emotions to a sense of fulfillment; and it is here that we are notably thinking straight. Les Brown gives us some good advice: 'If you don't program yourself, life will program you!' I would much rather choose my course in life through God's description since He is my Designer, than have something in this world choose it for me. It seems everyone wants to lead their own life and others, but unfortunately, many do a very poor job in doing it.
No person is fit to lead another when they cannot lead themselves. Self-governing is a lost practice that so few participate in, to realize the rewards of its discipline. Because people want everything immediately, they have become selfish, which drives them into reckless behavior for the need of getting something now. You must learn to think properly, otherwise, you will fall to the pressures around you and the panic will force you to hurry the processes. When this happens, fear is at the door; and never does any person make good decisions under fears blinding terror.
Therefore, don't place your concentration on how things make you feel; if you do this and these emotions are gut wrenching, zapping you of all hope for something good, then you have conceded to some negative finality in the situation. But rather, concentrate on developing the use of proper and wise thoughts to every challenge, and your emotions will embrace it giving you the thrill of a lifetime. Now that's how to live life!" ~Dad~ |
