"Good morning! What a glorious day you have in front of you. I know this, because God has each of them planned with something very unique and special in mind. So don't ever approach one of them with dread even if you have knowledge of something difficult that has to be faced, God still works things out for our good who love Him and are called according to His purposes. You are in a family with great privileges, therefore please don't except anything less than what a royal family has a right to. It's your inheritance! And you don't have to wait until someone dies to receive it either! This inheritance comes from a Father who never leaves us, nor does He ever withhold anything good from His family. You are rich beyond imagination, so quit focusing on what you think you may lack. Oh, and by the way, maturing is proportionate to what you can actually take possession of. You can't put a child in charge of great wealth, it would destroy them.
You should understand that your worth consists in what you are and not in what you have. So many times we measure happiness by the things we can accumulate in this life. But I've noticed something much more true in my observation and that is you are rich or poor according to what you are as a person, and never according to what you may have materially. That person of character proves their worth, who can make us want to listen when they are with us, and think long after they leave our presence. Think about it, you can never know the worth of water till the well goes dry. Just as nobody knows truthfully what a boy or girl is worth down their road of life. We'll have to just wait and see as they make their choices. But every man or woman who arrives to a successful place, remember, a boy or girl they once used to be.
Growing into what you were created to be is the most important work at hand. And let me add something more, never did God send anyone into this world to struggle and be a miserable person. Those things only happen to us when we seek our own way instead of God's way. You can't walk in your inheritance if you remain a child. You must grow up; and growing up has nothing to do with how old you are either. I've seen a few older folks in my days who just never grew up and at the end of their life it was a total wreck and sad to see. Life here is not about seeking one long party of laughs, its about responsibility to the things most needed, and there is plenty in this life that we are needed of our services, young or old we have gifts that are meant to be given away. In the words of Charles Dickens, 'No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.' I pray for you with joy in my heart, and get very excited at the prospects of the greatness to which you are called to do in this life. Grow up and your calling will show up. Look over your shoulder, and I'm that fan of yours cheering you on at the top of his lungs!" ~Dad~ |
