Cooperative Spirit Day

at Edison Community College

Pioneer's Cooperative Spirit Day and 79th annual meeting will be held March 21, 2015 at Edison Community College. The events will begin at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast and a legislative update for members of the Action Committee for Rural Electrification® (ACRE) and Co-op Owners for Political Action®, followed by Cooperative Spirit Day from 9 to 11 a.m., which will focus on local Co-op Connections® partners during a business expo, and conclude with the annual business meeting from 11 to 11:45 a.m.

Professionals from various organizations and businesses will be on hand to provide samples, allow members to purchase products or services, share general information and answer any questions guests may have.

Pioneer employees will also be on hand providing information regarding the Ash Tree removal program, offering live demonstrations and sharing information on Usage Explorer, paperless billing, special incentives and rebates. And, Pioneer will be celebrating its 80th year in business.

Immediately following Cooperative Spirit Day, guests are welcome to attend the annual business meeting for an announcement of the board election results, an overview of 2014 and goals and forecasting for 2015, as well as recognition of retiring board member Doug Hurst of Urbana.

Troy Meat Shop offers a variety of locally grown, natural, fresh cut meats. Along with the meat shop they also offer a large variety of meat, cheese and salad in their deli.

Vote for Your Cooperative Leaders

Just a little reminder when you receive your ballot, vote for one person in each county for the Pioneer Board. Even though you may live in a different county you still vote for one from each county since all members are being represented by these individuals. You vote for one person in each of the geographical areas for your County Board as well. You should have seven (7) individuals you voted for then.

Our independent election agent must receive your completed ballot by 11:59 pm on March 16, 2015. Your vote is cast by secret ballot and no employee or board member will have access to it.
