Wear your coolest, funkiest, craziest hats AND your purple Rosh Chodesh t-shirts.  We have a special surprise planned!

Join us for a heart-pumping exhibition of hoola hoop and jump rope performances by our lower school and an exciting upper school basketball competition between the Blue Sharks and the Yellow Jackets.

February is Heart Month and students at the N.E. Miles Jewish Day School are learning about heart health through many jump rope and basketball activities in P.E. and in science class.  In addition, they have collected donations for the American Heart Association.  For every $1000 raised for American Heart Association, our school receives $100 in gift certificates for P.E. equipment.

STUDENT VISIONS FOR THE FUTURE
Students in the Upper School tefillah class with Mrs. Posner were invited to vision for the future and asked to write personal prayers that could be included in a siddur.  Our students showed incredible compassion for their families, communities and the world.

"May it be Your will Hashem, our G-d, and the G-d of our ancestors...........

  • that world peace will come and that all living beings will live in harmony with each other.
  • that doctors will find a cure for cancer.
  • that all animals will have a loving and a caring home..... that all diseases disappear for humans, animals and even trees.
  • that the world will have no more wars and that it will be a world of peace and prosperity.  May it be Your will that everyone and every country will need no weapons and that terrorism will not exist.
  • that all diseases should be cured.
  • that all sickness should be healed (including mental illness and birth defects) for every living being."

Yasher koach to Daniel, Adi, Kyra, Ellen, Norman, Zachary, Emma and Lillian (in no specific order).
