EXTRAORDINARY SCHOOL PREPARES FOR THE FUTURE
The N.E. Miles Jewish Day School is getting a makeover and Judy Abroms and Cathy Friedman wanted to share the news!  They invited the Grandmothers of students (past, present and future) to come as their guests for a sneak peak.

Fifth Grade Ambassadors.
Talia Fleisig & Lillian McClure greet our guests.
Kyra Berger greets luncheon co-chair, Judy Abroms.

Marlie Thompson demonstrates a geography lesson on her school iPad.

Grandmothers were greeted by our confident and well-mannered 5th grade Ambassadors who demonstrated a science lesson using Stratalogica on our Upper School iPads. Thanks to many generous friends of the day
school and to the Abroms Center for Excellence, NEMJDS was able to purchase iPads for the Upper School this past year.
Second grade students demonstrated both math and Hebrew lessons on our SmartBoard and wowed the grandmothers with their confidence and aptitude - technology is essential in learning today.

Ms. Abolafia shared the vision for the future at the Day School - a progressive school with a global curriculum focusing on teaching 21st century skills in a creative, innovative and forward thinking academic environment.  "Our vision is to turn the school upside down - almost literally -- and redesign our space so that learning can be as innovative, interactive, and as personalized as possible", shared Ms. Abolafia.

A special thank you to our teachers, students and administration for making our Grandmother Luncheon a morning of real nachus!
