2.  Move your mouse over the 'Wish List' tab at the top.
3.  Click 'Find a Wish List'
4.  Type in N.E. Miles Jewish Day School
5.  Click on any of the wishlists to see what teachers need for their classrooms!

Thanks in advance for your generosity and support of the school!

SOMETHING MENSCHENABLE!
The school has been very busy during the days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur:

Our younger students (and even a future student), joined together at Greenbriar Nursing Home to share the mitzvah of sounding the shofar.
Awesome volunteers: Eli Brook, Asher Sigman, JJ Stein, Ari Azrad and James Henry Brook.

In recognition of 9/11, first grade students delivered cookies and a hand-made card to our local Fire Station, thanking the Fireman for all they do for us.

First Grade show off their card.
Fireman honored on 9/11

THE FLU HAS COME EARLY

Flu season has come early in Birmingham and Homewood Family Medicine will be at the Day School next week:

Flu shots or Flu Mist available at NEMJDS

Tuesday, Sept. 17th

3:00pm - 4:00pm

Flu Shots are $30 (lasts for 9 months) and Flu Mist is $40 (lasts 1 full year).  All billable through most health insurance companies.

WE'RE HAVING A REALLY SWEET YEAR!
Fifth Grade sample pomegranate as they hope that their good deeds during the coming year are as plentiful as the seeds in the fruit.

First Grade took a hike so they could do Tashlich together and throw away their 'I'm sorries!'.
Kindergarten students Jack Weinrib, Christopher Davenport and Jacob Rothenberg practice their shofar blowing skills.
