 Alachua County Tea Party Meeting

The Alachua County Tea Party is hosting their next meeting this Saturday from 10 A.M. until Noon at the Tower Road Public Library.  Their guest speaker will be Keith Dunn.  Keith is the Florida State Director of the John Birch Society, and he will be speaking about the dangers of calling a Constitutional Convention.

This is actually a very important issue.  Some well-meaning conservatives have even called for a Constitutional Convention to confirm the Constitution, but even under the best of intentions, opening a Constitutional Convention exposes the Constitution to the danger of being changed in was that were not intended.

Keith has spoken about this issue at other places, recently, but even if you have heard it, it is well worth it to hear it again.  It is one of those subjects that you can learn something new about, every time.
