Once every four years, after a Presidential Election, Republican Executive Committees in the State of Florida are reorganized for a new four year term, and officers are elected for a two year term. On December 6th, the Alachua County Republican Executive Committee held its reorganizational meeting. Stafford Jones was re-elected as Chairman by a vote of 60 to 19.

In the eight years since our team has taken over, Republican registration has grown by 34% while Democrat registration has grown by 22%.
In addition, while Democrat performance has gone down from 2008 to 2012, Republican performance improved, giving a +6 net improvement for Republican performance in Alachua County, according to a report presented at the RPOF Quarterly Board Meeting this past weekend.
Alachua County is one of the most liberal counties in the state, and it is a tough place to be a Republican, but by persevering and competing hard, steady progress is being made.
We have helped to elect City Commissioners in communities around Alachua County. We have helped to elect county-wide offices as well as people to the Florida House and the Florida Senate. In the last eight years, Alachua County's legislative delegation became majority Republican and continues to be so. We have also worked with the Governor's office to appoint Republicans to boards and to judges.
There is still much progress to be made, but a lot of progress has been made. Thank you to all of the dedicated, persevering volunteers that have helped to make that happen!
