Walden Chamber Players 2013/14 Season Schedule
It's our 17th season - and we just keep on getting better!
Walden's longevity is a testimony to the ensemble's track record of excellence in performance and education. This season we eagerly anticipate the release of our latest CD, due in October of this year, featuring the sublime music of the gifted Austrian composer Gerhard Schedl. As well, we look forward to continuing our engagement with the local community with concerts in Newton, the 8th installment of the Walden Chamber Players Young Artist Competition, the continuation of the Chamber Music ACK project - bringing high quality music education to the residents and schools of Nantucket - and a new concert series at the charming Dreamland Theater on the island of Nantucket. We are also thrilled to celebrate our 10th year as Ensemble-in-Residence at the Massachusetts Academy of Math and Science - truly a remarkable benchmark!
Of course, our season would not be complete without "taking the show on the road"! This year we are excited to feature return appearances on concert series in Bethlehem, PA and Syracuse, NY; and to add new venues in Gettysburg, PA and Cooperstown, NY to our season lineup.
It looks to be another exciting and stimulating season and we would love to welcome you at one of our events!
