North Grenville receives EDCO award
The Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) recognized excellence in economic development at its Conference and Awards Gala February 12th in Hamilton. The Gala attracted about 400 industry leaders to celebrate and recognize the contributions of their peers. 

The Municipality of North Grenville, and their partners including the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, the Kemptville College Renewal Task Force, the Kemptville College Foundation and McSweeney & Associates, were recognized for their collaborative efforts in the preparation of a report titled "Proposal to Establish the Kemptville Centre for Rural Advancement". The report was also a finalist for the Ontario Lieutenant Governor's Award for Marketing Excellence. Read the media release.

Make It Happen event celebrates International Women's Day 
and local female entrepreneurs
The 4th Annual Women's Entrepreneurship Dinner celebrating International Women's Day is on Thursday, March 5 at the Brockville Memorial Civic Centre. 

The Leeds and Grenville Small Business Centre Life-time Achievement Award and the Brockville Women in Business (BWB) Sue MacLaurin Leadership Award will be presented. 

The guest speaker is Michelle Valberg, a wildlife and adventure photographer, business owner and philanthropist.
