Pedigree Search using Partial Names
On the Home Page of the CSA website you navigate to Searches and choose the Pedigree Search option.
When only a partial name is known, you can use what is known as a "wildcard" (% - character). Using the % character at the beginning of your Name search allows you to search for a particular string of characters - whether they are at the beginning, middle or end of the Name.
Once the search query is initiated it will return anything with the search string that the user had indicated.  You can then choose the correct animal from the list that is returned so you can view the record more closely.

Note:  If you were to use % ADONIS - the search would have returned numerous records that you would have had to search through to determine which animal you were wanting to view. However, you can narrow the search greatly by adding additional characters such as - % MR ADONIS. This would have brought up one page of results if you selected the "50 records per Page" option from the drop-down menu (example below).

If you should require any additional assistance with using the Pedigree Search function, please call the CSA office at 403 250 7979 and speak to someone in Registrations.

Application for Lease
When completing an application for lease, the following information must be completed:
1) Name, registration number and tattoo of the animal being leased
2) Name and address of the lessor and the lessee
3) Conditions of lease agreement
4) Start and end date of the lease agreement
5) Application for Lease must be dated and signed by the lessor and submitted to the CSA office for processing
For an Application for Lease Form, please go here.
