REGISTRY INFORMATION
THE HERD LETTER FOR 2015 IS "C"
Total Herd Enrollment 2nd Installment Billing OCTOBER 1:
* Members with credit cards on file with CSA - please note the 2nd half of your THE fees owing will be processed at the time of billing.
* Members without credit cards on file, invoices will be mailed to you detailing the 2nd installment billing. The 2nd installment billing is payable upon receipt of your invoice.
CSA Mail Out
This month member packages will be mailed out to all active CSA members. Included in the package is 2016 female enrollment forms for THE participants, online enrollment instructions for online Simmental.com users, and application for registration forms for non-THE (registration only) members. Please note, online Simmental.com users will not receive female enrollment forms in this package. THE participants using the online system are required to submit enrollments through the online program. Deadline for 2016 female enrollment submission at the regular fee is December 15, 2015. If you are not a THE participant but wish to join the program, please call our office today.
If you have any other questions once receiving your package, please contact the CSA office at (403) 250-7979 or toll free 1-866-860-6051.
Enrolling Partnership owned Dams:
Partnership-owned dams do not print on the pre-printed Female Enrollment forms. These dams will not show up under the "My Pre-Posting Inventory - 2016" listing for our Online participants either. Please either add them to your forms or contact the CSA office Registry staff with the animal ID prior to the December 15th deadline so they can manually enroll the partnership-owned Dam(s) under your account.
Credit Card Users:
Please ensure your credit card information is current in the office. If your card expires or you change numbers, please contact the office so we can continue to process all your work with no delays. Online.Simmental.com users are required to keep a credit card on file with the CSA, or maintain a credit balance of $500 on account.
Email requests:
When emailing the CSA office, please include your member number on all correspondence to ensure we have the correct member. The CSA Registry system houses over 60,000 names including current and past members, commercial buyers and industry contacts.

2015 Fall Genetic Evaluation
The 2015 Fall run of the CSA Genetic Evaluation has been updated and the new EPDs are now online.
Member Submission Deadline Dates for Fall Evaluation
In order for data to be included in CSA Genetic Evaluations, it must be received by the CSA office by November 1st for the Spring Evaluation and by May 15th for the Fall Evaluation.
2015 Simmental Innovations Conference Presentations
Presentations from speakers at the Simmental Innovations Conference 2015 held in part with the CSA Convention in Lindsay, Ontario are now available to view on the Simmental Innovations website. Great range of presentations from a strong lineup of speakers!

CANADIAN SIMMENTAL ASSOCIATION'S SURVEY
The Canadian Simmental Association wants your feedback.
Those that fully complete surveys will have their names entered into a draw to win a $500 credit to purchase a bull from an active CSA member in 2016.
Completed surveys can be sent to Meghan Black at [email protected], faxed to 403-250-5121 or mailed to the Canadian Simmental Association at #13, 4101 - 19th Street N.E. Calgary, AB T2E 7C4.
Surveys are to be submitted no later than November 30th.

T Bar Invitational Thank You
The T Bar Invitational continues to support the youth of the beef industry  through Junior Associations. The Canadian Simmental Association's General Manager, Bruce Holmquist presented a cheque to the YCSA on behalf of T Bar C during the CSA's AGM Banquet in Lindsay, Ontario. YCSA's President, Sophie Wotten accepted the cheque on behalf of the Junior Association for $11,090.02!
Friends of Canadian Simmental Foundation Thank You
During the 2015 YCSA National Classic in Lindsay, Ontario the Friends of Canadian Simmental Foundation presented a cheque to the Young Canadian Simmental Association for $15,000. FCSF President Ken Lewis and FCSF Auction  Co-Chair Deanne Young presented the cheque on behalf of the Foundation to YCSA Board members Paige Holmquist, Dylan Foley, Cooper Snider, Sophie Wotten, Craig Matthews and Krista Whalen. Thank you to the FCSF for your continued support to our youth!

FRIENDS OF CANADIAN SIMMENTAL FOUNDATION
The 2015 - 2016 Board of Directors for the Friends of Canadian Simmental Foundation was elected at the AGM in Lindsay, Ontario on August 2, 2015. The board consists of Chairman Ken Lewis, Spruce Grove, AB, Vice Chair - Brian Bouchard, Cochrane, AB, Treasurer Marlin LeBlanc, Estevan, SK, Secretary Deanne Young, Breton, AB, and Directors - Roger Deeg, Strathmore, AB, Mark Shologan, Westlock, AB, Ron Nolan, Markdale, ON, Glen Wotten, Lindsay, ON and representatives from the Canadian Simmental Association of Lacey Fisher, Amherst, NS and Lee McMillen, Carievale, SK. There remains one vacant position on the board. If you would be interested in participating on the FCSF Board of Directors please contact Chairman Ken Lewis. We also encourage those that would like to become members of the Friends of Canadian Simmental Foundation to apply. Our membership form can be found on our website at www.simmentalfoundation.com 
We would like to thank all of those that applied for our scholarships. There were many worthy applications. The Friends of Canadian Simmental Foundation will announce the 2015 scholarship recipients in November.
