IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SUBMISSION OF DNA SAMPLES

CSA WELCOMES NEW MEMBER TO THE TEAM
The Canadian Simmental Association is pleased to welcome Carla Schmitt to the Simmental team in the role of Programs Coordinator. Carla's primary responsibility will be to work with the CSA's Young Canadian Simmental Association program as its coordinator.

REGISTRY INFORMATION
Early October Member packages will be mailed out to all active CSA members. Included in the package is 2015 female enrollment forms for THE participants, online enrollment instructions for online Simmental.com users, and application for registration forms for non-THE (registration only) members. Please note, online Simmental.com users will not receive female enrollment forms in this package. THE participants using the online system are required to submit enrollments through the online program. Deadline for 2015 female enrollment submission at the regular fee is December 15, 2014.

Fee Schedule Change
Effective January 1st 2015, registration costs for percentage animals will be the same as Purebred and Fullblood animals.

Genetic Evaluation Deadline for Total Herd Enrollment (THE) Herds:
In order for data to be included in the next CSA genetic EPD evaluation, it must be received by the CSA office no later than NOVEMBER 1.

SIMMENTAL SOURCE DIRECTORY
The Simmental Country is publishing it's 1st Simmental Source Directory in 2015. This book will include Semen Packages, AI Sires, Herd Sires and a CSA Breeders Map.
Three opportunities to advertise in this book are:
- Bull Spots: $500 each or 3 for $1300
- Business Card spots: $300
- Map Spots: $100 each. Due to Privacy rules, all members wishing to be on the map must purchase a spot. Member information will not be automatically included on this map.DEADLINE: DECEMBER 1st, 2014
