REGISTRY INFORMATION

Genotyping Incentive Program

For a limited time the CSA is offering a reduced price on genotyping tests for CSA members enrolled in the Total Herd Enrollment (THE) program:

  • $25 per sample for GGP-LD Profile - Savings of $20
  • $45 per sample for GGP-HD Profile - Savings of $45

DNA kits must be ordered by October 15, 2014 with DNA samples submitted no later than November 30, 2014. Funds will be allocated on a first-come, first serve basis. This incentive may expire early if funding is fully utilized.

A second way to save! Any genotyped animal that has an ultrasound record submitted by April 30, 2015 will qualify for an additional $5 credit to the members account! To qualify data must be collected under the same criteria as the previous Ultrasound Rebate Program.

Requesting Genotyping (SNP) Tests

Just a reminder of the 2 different types of SNP tests:

  • GGP-LD (20K) Profile (Regular price $45 + taxes) - required for ALL Natural Service Sires, sire verification of animals & parentage verification of embryo offspring.
  • GGP-HD (80K) Profile (Regular price $90 + taxes)  - the minimum requirement for all AI sires & Donor Dams.   If a bull is used for AI purposes (whether drawn at a Stud &/or for On Farm use) he must be genotyped using a minimum 80K density test.  Calves that are born as a result of an A.I. mating cannot be registered without this test being done.

For those CSA members that order SNP tests via email (or fax) please remember the following:

  • Specify the exact test type that you require for the animals you are sampling.
  • Also, specify if you want the complete SNP kit mailed to you.  Or, if you would prefer the SNP application form be emailed back to you to expedite the process and save on postage costs.
Please note there is an 8 week turn-around time for SNP results.

Member Account Numbers, Addresses and Contact Information

When emailing the CSA office with any correspondence and requests, please add your member number along with your first and last name or herd name to your email. If you have moved or have an address change due to conversion from rural route to rural municipal addressing, please provide the CSA office with written notification to avoid delays in receipt of your correspondence.  Please also inform us of phone number and email addresses changes.

Credit Card Authorization:
