ASSISTED LIVING RESIDENCE LOCATES IN BASEHOR

Country Place Senior Living Will Create 12 New Skilled Jobs
Country Place Senior Living, a new assisted living residence, has broken ground in Basehor. The $2.7 million assisted living residence will be located on a two acre parcel of land located at 15707 Pinehurst Drive and will create 12 new full time employment positions. Each of the 22 suites in the 15,000 sq. ft. facility is equipped with a fully accessible private bathroom, large sitting and sleeping areas, and a hospitality kitchen. The professional staff will include a director, a full time nurse, dietary consultant, food service coordinator, and numerous certified medication aides. Country Place Living, LLC worked in conjunction with local city officials and LCDC to bring upscale residential assisted living to seniors of Basehor.

Zephyr Products, Inc. Creates 4 and Retains 8 Jobs
When Zephyr Products, Inc. decided to invest in new technology to better meet the needs of its diverse client base, it took advantage of several programs available through the Department of Commerce, including the Kansas Industrial Training (KIT) and Kansas Industrial Retraining (KIR) programs.
The KIT and KIR programs are designed to support a company creating new jobs or retraining its workforce to adapt to technological advances. Zephyr Products, Inc. will receive $4,800 to add 4 new employees to its workforce and retrain 8 existing employees. If your company plans to add new jobs to respond to growth or invest in new technology that will require retraining of your existing workforce, contact Cecilia to explore opportunities with the Dept. of Commerce.
