The Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations of Chamber members for the 2013 Board of Directors. We are looking for members who have a strong interest in supporting the businesses of the Dripping Springs area.

 

The Chamber is in need of business people with innovative ideas. Board members are expected to attend all monthly and special meetings of the Board and Chamber.

New Visitors Bureau Director

The Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau is pleased to welcome Pam Owens as the new Director of our Visitors Bureau.

 

Pam has owned, operated and sold 2 businesses in Dripping Springs while being a member of the Chamber and has served on the Board for 2 terms, acting as Chairperson in 2005.  Pam has lived in the Dripping Springs area for almost 30 years, is a charter member of the Dripping Springs Community Foundation, has served on several fundraising programs and events in Dripping Springs including The Gathering, Helping Hands, DS Community Library, the Dr. Pound Historical Farmstead, PAWS, Founder's Day and Wild West Fest.  She has had a year of "relaxing" after selling Print Plus and is ready to continue representing Dripping Springs at our Visitors Bureau.  Be sure to stop by and tell her hello!

CANYON GRILL LADIES NIGHT & POOL/PING PONG INSTRUCTION

We have Ladies Night every Tuesday 4-7pm, 16oz Marguaritas on the rocks for $3.00, and free pool or ping pong coaching for customers who may be interested.  We appreciate your support and business.

 

 

EARLY VOTING CONTINUES TODAY

Early voting continues through Friday, Nov. 2nd.  Registereds voter in Hays County can vote at any polling place in the county.  In Dripping Springs, early voting will be conducted at the Hays County Precinct 4 Office, located at 195 Roger Hanks Parkway.  This week, early voting will be conducted Monday, Oct. 29th - Friday, Nov. 2nd from 7:00am - 7:00pm.  In addition, there will be a temporary early voting location at the Belterra Clubhouse, 801 Belterra Dr. on Monday, Oct. 29th and Tuesday, Oct. 30th from 10:00am - 7:00pm.

TRICK OR TREAT SO OTHERS CAN EAT

Boy Scout Troop 101 is planning our 4th Annual Halloween Food Drive on Wednesday, Oct. 31st.  We will be concentrating our efforts in Belterra and Highpoint Communities.  All donations will benefit the Dripping Springs Helping Hands Food Pantry.  We need your help to make this Trick or Eat Drive a success!  If you would like to donate but will not be home on Halloween, please call Janell at 512-673-3723 or email jkendzora@austin.rr.com.

 

 

FOOD FUNDRAISER BENEFITS HELPING HANDS FOOD PANTRY

Food pantries are always in need and it seems with our current economy, the demand is even greater. The Helping Hands Food Pantry is no exception.

 

Dripping Springs residents will have the opportunity to donate non-perishable food items, school supplies and toiletries at six locations through Nov. 19th. Boxes can be found conveniently located inside each business. Local Rotarians have created the boxes and will be distributing them to the following locations:
