Participating Merchants provide a special free gift to ticket buyers as they "tour" our merchants stores on Saturday, December 1st.  Tickets are limited to the first 100 buyers.  The Gift Tour is part of the Christmas on Mercer event and benefits the Dripping Springs Lions Club community service projects.

DS EDUCATION FOUNDATION 

How many times have you heard people say they moved to Dripping Springs because of the outstanding reputation of our Schools? 

 

Fortunately, DSISD ranks as one of the top districts in the nation and it has been recently proven that our students are better equipped for post-secondary education than most others.  The sad news is that we are also considered a "property rich" district and about $3 million of our tax dollars leave the district every year resulting in deeper budget cuts.  If you are concerned and would like to be involved, please consider volunteering at one or more of the Dripping Springs Education Foundation events.  The mission of the DSEF is to financially support the district allowing them to concentrate less on money and more on providing quality education.

 

Some events planned for this year are a golf tournament, a casino night gala, and a 5K & 10K run.  The DSEF Board will handle the planning, all you need to do is lend a hand at the event.  Who knows; the money you help raise may save a salary, continue a program, or provide a grant to a teacher to create new and innovative programs!

WILD WEST FEST 

Step back into history as the 4th Annual Wild West Fest returns on Saturday, October 20th at Dripping Springs Ranch Park!

 

Don't miss this year's line-up with spectacular events for all ages! The daylong celebration and family fun day offers western activities and other entertainment sure to please the local crowds and visitors to Dripping Springs. Day-time activities include an equestrian playday, a ranch rodeo, barrel races, a ride-the-hide race and goat show, arts and crafts vendors, a chili and salsa cook-off, pumpkin carving contest, an old fashioned pie recipe contest, kids' activities, heritage games and a haunted house. Kick up your heels and round out the activities at the dance to start after the ranch rodeo.

 

With an expected crowd of 3,000 people throughout the day, the Wild West Fest is a showcase venue to advertise your company and support Harrison Ranch Park. Event sponsors and in-kind donations are welcome and sponsorships are available at various levels of support from $50 to $1,000. Sponsorship dollars and donations will help provide direct festival expenses and contribute to the new amenities being built at the Park. Arts and Crafts vendors are wanted as well as live auction donors. For more information about the Wild West Fest, please go to www.dswildwestfest.com .
