MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

The Chamber member who recruits the most new members* to join the Chamber will win a $100 gift certificate to a local business of your choosing**. This quarter's contest ends September 28th.

*New members are classified as those who were not a member of the Chamber during 2011 or 2012.

**Gift certificates/cards must be from a current member of the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce.

THE BARBER SHOP BREWPUB HOSTS SECOND ANNUAL FIREFIGHTERS FUNDRAISER

The Barber Shop is proud to announce the Second Annual Firefighters Fundraiser on Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 6pm - 11pm. Fundraiser proceeds will benefit Dripping Springs, Driftwood, and Henly fire departments.

The Second Annual Firefighters Fundraiser at The Barber Shop will feature a fish fry by the Dripping Springs Cook-off Club, live music by Moonhanger and Hill Country Ramblers, and a silent auction. All proceeds from the purchase of Real Ale Brewing Company's Firemans #4 Blonde Ale at the bar during the event will also go to the local fire departments. The Barber Shop will also have donation stations set-up for those who want to drop off cash or checks.

Make sure to swing by the The Barber Shop brewpub is located at 207 Mercer Street in downtown Dripping Springs after your visit to the Dripping with Taste Wine & Food Festival!! THE FRIENDS FOUNDATION NEEDS VOLUNTEERS

The Friends Foundation is in need of volunteer drivers to deliver meals in the Greater Dripping Springs Area for their Our Daily Bread Program, a hot meal delivery program for the elderly homebound.

The current monthly schedule has five routes in the area and meals are delivered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Volunteer delivery drivers must have: a vehicle in good operating condition, a state issued license to drive in Texas, a good driving record and pass a criminal background check to qualify.
