| The inaugural Arlington Mayor's Prayer Breakfast will be held Tuesday, February 16 at the Arlington Convention Center. The event, hosted by the Chamber, brings together members of the community for an inspirational and uplifting breakfast with special messages from local church and civic leaders. Please join us as we pause, give thanks for what we have in Arlington, recognize the strength of working together, and pray for the Arlington community. Click here to register. The internships will benefit AISD high school juniors and seniors who wish to have a learning experience in entry level and middle skill jobs. Chamber members are encouraged to participate.

Invitation to Become Career, Technology, and Higher Education Investigations Guest Speaker/Advisor
|
Career, Technical, and Higher Education Investigations is a technology embedded course that will provide students with opportunities to develop technology skills they will use throughout high school and into college and career while actively investigating their career options for the upcoming years in high school and beyond. The Chamber is working with AISD to invite business leaders the opportunity to talk directly with 8th grade students about emerging career opportunities within your industry. We are asking member organizations who are willing, to speak at one or more district-wide 8th grade class assembly and/or present a demonstration at an on-campus "Career Day" to inspire and encourage students to imagine a multitude of career options. $17,500 in Scholarship Money Available to Arlington ISD Seniors
| As part of the Champion Education Initiative, the Arlington Chamber Foundation is offering seven $2,500 scholarships to 2015-2016 graduating Arlington ISD students who plan to attend either the University of Texas at Arlington or Tarrant County College.
