The PEDC and the Chamber to Host Pantego's Mayor Melody Paradise "Morning with the Mayor" THIS WEDNESDAY

THIS Wednesday, July 22 at 7:30 a.m., Mayor Melody Paradise and key city staffers will provide a Town of Pantego update. The "Morning with the Mayor" will be held at the Pantego Lions Club in partnership with the Pantego Economic Development Corporation. Mayor Paradise will deliver an economic update and highlight exciting community endeavors.

Arlington ISD State of the District Luncheon in Three Weeks

Superintendent Dr. Marcelo Cavazos and the Board of Trustees will present an update on the District and the progress of the Achieve Today. Excel Tomorrow. strategic plan. The Monday, August 10 State of the District Luncheon Address is a "must hear" event for faculty, administrators, parents, Arlington business leaders, civic leaders and the media. Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County Survey
To enhance the economic vitality of our community, Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County would like your assistance in identifying industry skill gaps, shortages and required certifications. This information will be used by employer focus groups to develop training programs to grow the future workforce, establish industry consortiums to solve common challenges and create a strong talent recruitment pipeline. The Women's Alliance of the Arlington Chamber is seeking nominations for their Hero and Rising Star Awards. The Hero Award acknowledges that women offer a unique approach to leadership, which involves connecting and collaborating to effect change and influence, often without position or authority.  The Hero Award will recognize a woman with demonstrated leadership capabilities who has the desire and commitment to make a greater contribution within our community by her pursuit, courage, enthusiasm, and zeal. The Rising Star portraits the same characteristics earlier in her career.

Leadership Arlington 2015-2016
Applications Due in August
Leadership Arlington (LA) develops the next generation of our community leaders. The program seeks to identify potential community leaders, educate them regarding civic engagement and leadership opportunities, and provides the graduate and their sponsoring company, access to a wide network of like-minded professional leaders.

Women's Alliance Scholarship Applications Now Being Accepted
Women's Alliance

The Women's Alliance of the Arlington Chamber annually awards scholarships to female students attending UT Arlington or Tarrant County College. Four Dr. Judith J. Carrier scholarships will be awarded in 2015. Completed applications must be submitted by September 14.
