North Texas Association of Manufacturers to Hold Inaugural Meeting THIS THURSDAY

The U.S. Department of Commerce, the National Association of Manufacturers and the U.S. Small Business Administration are collaborating with the Arlington Chamber of Commerce to launch the North Texas Association of Manufacturers (NTAM) to serve the expanding needs of manufacturing throughout North Texas.

 

Manufacturers in our region are invited to attend the extremely important inaugural meeting of NTAM, which will identify issues impacting manufacturing that can be a affected or enhanced by concerted community action, and to implement a bold plan to enhance our manufacturing climate.

The AISD and Chamber Proudly Host the Ninth Annual Entrepreneurship Day This Saturday!
670 3rd - 8th grade students from the Arlington ISD will be recognized at the "What's Your Big Idea" Entrepreneurship Day festivities at College Park Center on the UT Arlington Campus. Samantha Davies and Eric King (NBC 5) return as the emcees for the 2:00 p.m. event THIS SATURDAY, April 11
 
Top students are awarded prizes from the City of Arlington Parks & Recreation, Texas Rangers, Six Flags Over Texas, Alley Cats, The Arlington Highlands, Schlotzsky's and UT Arlington.

2015 Salute to Small Business Luncheon is May 14

The 2015 "Salute to Small Business" luncheon is May 14 at the Sheraton Arlington Hotel. This annual event, co-hosted by the Arlington Chamber, the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Small Business Development Center, will recognize the Outstanding Small Business Champions of the Year from a 72-county area. The Arlington Chamber will also award its Small Businesses of the Year.

 

Returning to emcee the event is a DFW TV celebrity, Scott Murray. This year's event includes the annual luncheon, seminars before lunch and an "Expo" of services focused on small business. Please click here to sponsor, register or display.

Invitation to Become Career, Technology, and Higher Education Investigations Guest Speaker/Advisor

Career, Technology, and Higher Education Investigation (CTHEI) is a technology embedded course that will provide students with opportunities to develop technology skills they will use throughout high school and into college and career while actively investigating their career options for the upcoming years in high school and beyond.
