The Women's Alliance of the Arlington Chamber will hold the 2nd Annual Health & Wellness event in conjunction with dinner and a Ranger baseball game on September 9 starting at 3:30 p.m. Event registration includes the following:

Health & wellness seminars from Arlington's leading hospitals, doctors and medical services
Displays from leading Arlington health providers
Dinner in the Rangers' Hall of Fame
Ticket to attend the 7:05 pm Ranger vs. Angels baseball game
Limited registrations - only 65 remain

Sports Impact Panel Discussion and Three to be Recognized at Annual Meeting & Awards Dinner on September 30

The Arlington Chamber celebrates the end of the fiscal year and the beginning of the new year at the Annual Meeting & Awards Dinner. The September 30 event at the Convention Center will feature a "sports impact on Arlington economy" panel discussion with Brad Sham (voice of the Cowboys), Rick Baker and Thomas Bain (AT&T Cotton Bowl Board). Transportation Town Hall Meeting

September 11

The Chamber of Commerce invites all to a free Transportation Town Hall meeting Thursday, September 11 featuring Transportation Commissioner Victor Vandergriff, State Rep. Matt Krause, Commissioner Andy Nguyen and others. The event is at 6:00 p.m. at the North Central Texas Council of Governments office, 616 Six Flags Drive. Women's Alliance Scholarship Applications Must be Submitted by September 23

The Women's Alliance of the Arlington Chamber annually awards scholarships to female students attending UT Arlington or Tarrant County College. Four Dr. Judith J. Carrier scholarships will be awarded in 2014. Applications must be submitted by September 23.

Keep Texas Working

Labor Day kicks off campaign season, which means the next session of the Texas Legislature begins in four months. It's not too early to begin getting our message out there, and this year the Chamber welcomes a new partner, Keep Texas Working, which uses social media to advance the messages about reinvesting in our economy to legislators. The Keep Texas Working program highlights may be viewed here.

Important Meeting to Those Interested in Doing Business with the City of Arlington

The purchasing staff from both the City of Arlington and the Arlington ISD will host their "Monthly Supplier Meeting" this Friday, September 5 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the Central Library.

This informal meeting will provide suppliers with a general overview of the purchasing process and information about current and upcoming bidding opportunities. Click here to access the meeting flyer.
