The Arlington Chamber celebrates the end of the fiscal year and the beginning of the new year at the Annual Meeting & Awards Dinner. The September 30 event at the Convention Center will feature a panel discussion with prominent speakers and the recognition of the following:

Women's Alliance to Hold "Coffee"
TOMORROW MORNING August 26
Women's Alliance
The Women's Alliance is holding a morning "coffee" at the Arlington Chamber TOMORROW, Tuesday, August 26 from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. This is an opportunity to preview the various committees that plan and execute annual Women's Alliance activities - including networking, mentoring, awareness, annual Inspired Women Luncheon and much more. Chamber After Hours is a come-and-go event providing the opportunity for networking, building relationships and exchanging business cards with prospective clients and customers. It is also a terrific way to "bring a friend" and introduce a new member to the Chamber.  

 

Our monthly Chamber After Hours now includes the new Arlington Chamber Young Professionals - expanding your networking contacts.

Women's Alliance Searching for Local Heroes and Rising Stars
Women's Alliance
The Women's Alliance of the Arlington Chamber is seeking nominations for their Hero and Rising Star Awards. The Hero Award acknowledges that women offer a unique approach to leadership, which involves connecting and collaborating to effect change and influence, often without position or authority.  The Hero Award will recognize a woman with demonstrated leadership capabilities who has the desire and commitment to make a greater contribution within our community by her pursuit, courage, enthusiasm, and zeal. The Rising Star portrays the same characteristics earlier in her career.  Click here for both nomination forms.

Women's Alliance Scholarship Applications Now Being Accepted

The Women's Alliance of the Arlington Chamber annually awards scholarships to female students attending UT Arlington or Tarrant County College. Four Dr. Judith J. Carrier scholarships will be awarded in 2014. Applications must be submitted by September 23.

Leadership Arlington Adult Class Registration Closes THIS FRIDAY
Leadership Arlington (LA) encourages leaders to discover their own capabilities as they learn from others. LA helps to identify, train, empower and connect people who want to make a difference in our community. Police and Fire Chiefs, elected officials (including Arlington City Council), executives, business and civic leaders have graduated from the program. Women's Alliance 2nd Annual
Health & Wellness Event on September 9
The Women's Alliance of the Arlington Chamber will hold the 2nd Annual Health & Wellness event in conjunction with dinner and a Ranger baseball game on September 9 starting at 3:30 p.m. Event registration includes the following: 
  • Health & wellness seminars from Arlington's leading hospitals, doctors and medical services.
  • Displays from leading Arlington health providers.
  • Dinner in the Rangers' Hall of Fame.
  • Ticket to attend the 7:05 pm Ranger vs. Angels baseball game. 
  • Limited registrations - only 75 remain.
