Important State of the School District Annual Address is August 12 |
Superintendent Dr. Marcelo Cavazos and the Board of Trustees will present an update on the district and the progress of the plan, "Achieve Today. Excel Tomorrow." The Arlington Chamber celebrates the end of the fiscal year and the beginning of the new year at the Annual Meeting & Awards Dinner. Women's Alliance to Hold Health & Wellness "Girls Night" at the Ballpark in Arlington |
The Women's Alliance of the Arlington Chamber plans an exciting new event to be held at the Ballpark in Arlington in conjunction with a Rangers baseball game. A Health & Wellness "Girls Night at the Ballpark" will be held on September 10 at 3:30 pm. The Tiara Tuesday event
features:
- Health & wellness seminars from Arlington's leading hospitals, doctors and medical services.
- Displays from leading Arlington health providers.
- Dinner in the Hall of Fame area on Level 2.
- Ticket to attend the 7:05 pm Ranger vs Pirates baseball game.

Deborah Ferguson as emcee and keynote speaker Vicki Hitzges for Inspired Women Luncheon.
Vicki Hitzges started her career communicating with the public in the front office for the Dallas Cowboys. Fifteen years later, she hosted their weekly TV show, "Special Edition." Vicki has also worked as a television news anchor and talk show host in Dallas where she interviewed five U.S. Presidents from Reagan to Clinton, as well as business moguls, movie stars and hall of fame athletes. Vicki knows the value of stories, humor, practical content and audience interaction.

Leadership Arlington is a program that offers encouragement to discover leadership capabilities and to learn from others. Leadership Arlington helps to identify, train, empower and connect people who want to make a difference in our community. Police and fire chiefs, elected officials (including Arlington City Council), executives, business and civic leaders have all graduated from the Leadership Arlington program.
