Light Up Arlington July 3 |
With live music, a Boomtown Children's Area, Radio Disney, fireworks, food and fun, Light Up Arlington brings family friendly entertainment to downtown. Two live music stages will be set up for your enjoyment, the Levitt Pavilion stage and the Coors Light stage. Headliner acts Young Stars of Arlington and The Spazmatics will perform during the event. State of the School District Annual Address Planned for August 12 |
Superintendent Dr. Marcelo Cavazos and the Board of Trustees will present an update on the district and the progress of the plan, "Achieve Today. Excel Tomorrow." A "must hear" event for faculty, administrators, parents, Arlington business leaders, civic leaders and the media as Dr. Cavazos discusses new innovative programs and partnerships.

Women's Alliance to Hold Health & Wellness "Girls Night" at the Ballpark in Arlington |
The Women's Alliance of the Arlington Chamber plans an exciting new event to be held at the Ballpark in Arlington in conjunction with a Rangers baseball game. A Health & Wellness "Girls Night at the Ballpark" will be held on September 10, with registration at 3:30 pm. The Tiara Tuesday event features:
- Health & wellness seminars from Arlington's leading hospitals, doctors and medical services.

- Dinner in the Hall of Fame area on Level 2.

Inspired Women Luncheon Announces
Keynote Speaker - Vicki Hitzges |
The Women's Alliance of the Arlington Chamber just announced the keynote speaker for the 3rd Annual Inspired Women Luncheon - Vicki Hitzges.
Vicki Hitzges started her career communicating with the public in the front office for the Dallas Cowboys. Fifteen years later, she hosted their weekly TV show, "Special Edition." Vicki has also worked as a television news anchor and talk show host in Dallas where she interviewed five U.S. Presidents from Reagan to Clinton, as well as business moguls, movie stars and hall of fame athletes. Later, she became a publicist because she knew how to get clients featured on TV and radio as well as in magazine and newspaper stories. Vicki knows the value of stories, humor, practical content and audience interaction.
