National SBA Event in Arlington is TOMORROW 

The SBA, the Arlington Chamber and the City of Arlington will host more than 1,000 businesses at the SOLD-OUT National Small Business Week -Dallas/Fort Worth on Tuesday, June 18, 2013. The SBA, along with experts from the Dallas/Fort Worth business community, will provide tips and techniques to build a successful business. This is the first time National Small Business Week is traveling coast-to-coast and Arlington, TX is one of four host cities.

 

Panel and workshop topics include:

  • Armchair interviews with SBA Administrator Karen Mills and AARP President Robert Romasco 
  • Growing and Going Global with Supply Chains
  • D/FW Area Entrepreneurial Ecosystem 
  • Getting Started with Government Contracting
  • Finding Capital for Your Business
  • Introduction to Exporting
  • Affordable Care Act 101

The sold-out event requires a printed ticket. Arlington Convention Center doors open at 7:30 am tomorrow. Event runs until 2:00 pm.

  State's New Revenue Forecast Broadens Deliverables

Six state legislators met with the Chamber's Center for Public Policy Advisory Council and other invited guests last week to discuss the just-concluded state legislative session, and pending issues in the ongoing special session.

Arlington Chamber Networking Leads Groups to Expand

Leads_GroupStarting Wednesday, July 10 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm, the Chamber will be launching a fourth leads group.

 

Also, the Wednesday morning Leads Group will have an open house from 8:15 - 9:15 am on June 19. Interested businesses are welcome to attend.
