Both public and private small business supporters will be honoring North Texas at this year's "Salute to Small Business" luncheon. We proudly
welcome NBC 5 Today Anchor, Deborah Ferguson as emcee of the luncheon co-hosted by the Arlington Chamber, the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Small Business Development Center. The luncheon will feature an address by Jeff Williams, President of Graham Associates, and the 2012 Arlington Small Business of the Year. The Arlington Chamber will also recognize the 2013
Outstanding Small Businesses of the Year - Bob Moore Construction, Inc. and Girls Inc. of Tarrant County.
The luncheon is Thursday, May 23 at the Sheraton Arlington Hotel.

State Money Behind Transportation, Water and Education |
At the current legislative session, state leaders announced unanimous support for putting money into transportation, the state water plan and may be putting back some of what was cut in public education. With less than three weeks left, however, ideology and political partisanship may stand in the way of getting any of those measures accomplished. A new legislative update is posted here.
