2017 BCBSKS Incentives through KHIN
Did you know providers can earn increased reimbursements from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas (BCBSKS)?

It's true! Providers can earn incentives through the BCBSKS Quality-Based Reimbursement Program (QBRP) paid as reimbursements in addition to the established base MAPs for 2017. QBRP is "designed to promote efficient administration, improved quality, and better patient care and outcomes".

There are many QBRP metrics that providers can meet to qualify for incentives. Highlights of three follow. Refer to the 2017 QBRP guide available HERE for qualification and incentive specifics.

1. Query for Patients in KHIN
Earn 1.5% when each prescribing provider performs at least 60 queries per quarter.

2. Send Data Through an HL7 Interface
Earn up to 3.0% (1.0% for each of the following):
  • Send demographics, admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Send progress notes.
  • Send diagnosis and/or procedure coding.
3. Achieve PCMH Recognition
Earn 1.75% for Level 3 recognition or 0.75% for Level 1 or 2 recognition.

eCW Immunization Hub to WebIZ
KHIN has now successfully onboarded the 2 pilot sites and has begun the process of onboarding the remaining eCW facilities. Health centers using eCW will to be contacted by a KHIN Project Manager and Vishall from eCW in the coming weeks and months to begin transporting immunizations to WebIZ via the new hub.
