CQMs and MU Reporting Periods Changes for Program Year 2017
The following information was copied from January 2017 KMAP GENERAL BULLETIN 17015.

In 2017, for all new and returning participants attesting to Meaningful Use objectives, the EHR reporting period is a minimum of any continuous 90 days between January 1 and December 31, 2017. EPs not in their first year attesting to Meaningful Use in Program Year 2017 will be required to attest to a full calendar year reporting period for the CQMs in 2017.
Note: These EPs will need to start tracking Program Year 2017 CQM data beginning on January 1, 2017.

EPs attesting to Meaningful Use for the first time in Program Year 2017 will be able to use a continuous 90-day reporting period.
Note: If a participant switches EHR systems during 2017, they must download, save, or otherwise have access to data housed within their old CEHRT system. The participant will be required to report data from both systems in order to meet the year-long CQM reporting requirements.
